It is time for Unai Emery to get his team to gel following a transfer window in which six new faces joined. The double deadline day arrivals of David Luiz from Chelsea and Kieran Tierney from Celtic were supplemented with the earlier signings of Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos, William Saliba, and Nicolas Pepe.
Dayot Upamecano and Daniele Rugani were both linked as potential centre back signings, but Raul Sanllehi and co. decided to sign wantaway Luiz from Chelsea.
Alex Iwobi sealed a late move to Everton, with the Toffees reportedly paying between £35m and £40m for the Nigeria international.
Unai Emery revealed that there could still be business done, however, with the club still able to loan and sell players until the end of the month
